HLR Discreet Gear Clips™ have THE highest clamping force in the industry, even at the minimalist thickness of .025" and width of .624". They are always squeezing and always working. Made from our own 10XX steel alloy purpose built specifically for this application and our process increasing strength and ductility. Our DMG/Cu surface finish is non reflective, highly corrosion resistant and abrasion resistant.  Our underhook design has a built in progressive strain relief. In the event it sees a large amount of force, this strain relief allows it to gradually bend while continuing to hold and buy you time instead of just hitting its limit and breaking. Streamlined design and geometry to remove failure points while increasing the overall strength of the clip. Smallest possible footprint to eliminate extra bulk and snag points. They are always squeezing and always working. Where you put it is where it stays. Extremely low profile. The Mod 3.1 aka "The JWB" came to life as a result of the needs of world class bladesmith and maker of quality hard use tools, J.W. Bensinger out of Vermont. He needed a high performance attachment to work for his specific application, so he took one of our current offerings and cut, milled, drilled and shaped it exactly how he needed it. It showed up at our door and after a few minor changes that he agreed upon we went ahead and created this little monster. Like all of it's siblings, it is a huge performer in a very minimalist footprint that you can rely on with your life. What's the best part? When asked if he wanted it to be exclusive to him he said "no, make it available to anyone and everyone".
